Some people don't understand how Real Estate works, so let me explain. When a selling agent lists a home, the sellers pay him/her a certain % of the homes value when it sells. The selling agent then puts the property on the market and splits his commission with any agent who brings a buyer or buying agent. You should understand that if you work with the agent selling the home, he/she will be forced to represent both you and the sellers who are paying the commission. In essence, you are giving up your right to representation, and the selling agent will be entitled to the whole commission.
